Fleet 46 Invitational Regatta
NOTICE OF RACE
The Fleet 46 Invitational Regatta will take place on August 15th-16th, 2009 on Lake Alexander in Dayville, CT, 06241. The Lake Alexander 110 Fleet 46 is the organizing authority.

RULES
The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
ENTRIES
The registration fee is $60 per boat for normal registration, $75 per boat after August 7th, and includes Cookout under the tent on Saturday night and a Cookout during the awards presentation. Docking for guest boats will be provided by members and supporters of the local 110 fleet, but you MUST contact the registration coordinator so sufficient locations can be provided.
Eligible boats may be entered by completing the regatta entry form including any required supplemental forms and submitting them by the end of registration time on August 7th. Each skipper and all crew must sign the waiver form. All entry materials must be completed in their entirety and fees paid in full in order for the entry to be accepted.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
August 14th
1200 -1800hrs Hoist Launch Trailered boats will be assisted with transfer to locally supplied trailer launch equipment and launched. Trailer launched boats may launch Friday or Saturday morning before noon at designated locations following bottom cleaning. Power washing will be available locally. Several locations for launch are being planned.
1700 - 1800hrs Racing Director will provide and orientation / tour of the lake to familiarize guests with Alexander's Lake and the sailing conditions or challenges provided by the environment.
2000 ALYC Social gathering will be held at a designated cottage.
August 15th
1200hrs Skipper’s meeting
1330hrs First warning signal (4 races planned)
1900hrs Cookout under the tent (approximately)
August 16th
1330hrs First warning signal (3 races planned)

SCORING
Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers. The Low Point scoring system will apply except that each boat may exclude their worst finish if all 7 races are completed.

I, the skipper and/or owner of the yacht named on the reverse, accept full responsibility for the conduct of each member of my crew and guests during the Ghost Fleet Invitational Regatta. I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for the safety of my crew and yacht.
The ALYC, the race committee and the participating yacht clubs are in no way to be held responsible for accidents, damage, or injury to property or to yachts, crew or guests
arising from any cause during or related to any race or activities of the weekend. Weather and water conditions must be evaluated by each skipper and his crew and each participant is responsible for determining whether it is safe for him to participate. If assistant is provided by Committee vessels and personnel, it is at the risk of the participants.
